Position: Litigation Associate for DGW Kramer LLP
HQ office in New York, NY.
Full time, Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the US, occasional travel to HQ office required
Job duties:
Advise and represent clients in China-related commercial litigation cases including Intellectual Property (IP) disputes; conduct research on applicable laws and regulations in China and different jurisdictions to support dispute resolution strategies; collaborate with local and foreign counsel, experts and consultants to gather evidence, analyze legal positions; conduct due diligence and review IP-related documents in various cases; draft and review various legal documents discussing comparative law issues in China and different jurisdictions; provide comprehensive memorandums and legal opinions based on the research findings to support client case; work on other litigation cases involving complex commercial disputes, capital markets transactions, cross-border disputes, China-related practices, and corporate matters.
Job requirements:
JD or LLM degree, licensed to practice law in the state of New York or California. Must have knowledge of the legal system, civil procedure and international economic law in China and 1 year experience with legal research and drafting in IP law, experience during the Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) program is accepted. Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the US, occasional travel to HQ office required.
